JK began his career in physical commodities trading in East Africa before transitioning to a discretionary trading role for a single-family office that grew from roughly $20 million to more than $300 million in assets and ultimately evolved into a systematic multi-strategy hedge fund. Over that period, he executed billions of dollars in notional exposure across equities, options, and futures before later serving as Vice President of Trading and Risk Management for a Nasdaq-listed company. He subsequently returned to the private family office space, bringing together experience in discretionary trading, systematic strategies, portfolio risk, and institutional market structure. After working closely with legendary classical chartist Peter Brandt for more than a decade, JK launched ChartWizards as a paid research service in late 2023.
